WALK FOR WATER THIS WEEKEND! CAMINAR POR AGUA (Desplácese hacia abajo para ver en español)

This weekend is the fantastic and fun Walk for Water! We cannot wait to celebrate and serve to bring clean, safe drinking water to the world as a team. Here are a few notes for Saturday:

• FUNDRAISING: If you haven't yet, send out those last minute texts and social posts for donations personally. When you log into your registration, it will allow you to share on all the platforms and texts so people can give directly to you!

• MEETING UP WITH THE TEAM: The gates open at 8 and the walk begins at 9. Please plan on arriving with 30 minutes for parking and walking over, because it is a large crowd. We will take a team photo at 8:50 at our tent, so be at our tent before then!

  • We have a sponsor tent this year. You will see it as number 12 on the park map shown here. Find our tent, and we'll hang out behind it in the field while we wait for the start. Conveniently, the bathrooms are right beside that area!

• SHIRTS: Shirts are available for pick up in the office today and tomorrow, so swing by! We are short some 2x and 3x, but they will be available when you arrive at the walk on Saturday. If you have just registered (Steve lol), you will be able to get a shirt on Saturday!

  • We will be checking off the list when you come so you may pick up your family's shirts as well ahead of Saturday.

• PARKING: Reference the parking map here on where to park when you arrive Saturday. There is construction in certain areas on the old base, so it may look different than last year. Don't worry, though! It is kind of a crowd you can't miss!

Este fin de semana es la fantástica y divertida Caminata por el Agua. ¡Estamos deseando celebrar y servir para llevar agua potable al mundo como equipo! Aquí tienen algunas notas para el sábado:

• RECAUCIÓN DE FONDOS: Si aún no lo han hecho, envíen personalmente esos mensajes de texto y publicaciones en redes sociales para donaciones de última hora. Al iniciar sesión en su registro, podrán compartir en todas las plataformas y mensajes de texto para que la gente pueda donar directamente a ustedes.

• REUNIÓN CON EL EQUIPO: Las puertas abren a las 8 y la caminata comienza a las 9. Por favor, lleguen con 30 minutos de antelación para aparcar y caminar, ya que hay mucha gente. Nos tomaremos una foto de equipo a las 8:50 en nuestra carpa, ¡así que lleguen antes! Este año contamos con una carpa de patrocinadores. La verán como la número 12 en el mapa del parque que se muestra aquí. Encuentren nuestra carpa y nos quedaremos detrás de ella en el campo mientras esperamos la salida. ¡Para mayor comodidad, los baños están justo al lado!

• CAMISAS: Puedes recoger las camisetas en la oficina hoy y mañana, ¡así que pásate! Nos faltan algunas 2x y 3x, pero estarán disponibles cuando llegues a la caminata el sábado. Si te acabas de inscribir (¡Steve, jajaja!), ¡podrás conseguir una camiseta el sábado! Iremos marcando la lista cuando vengas para que también puedas recoger las camisetas de tu familia antes del sábado.

• ESTACIONAMIENTO: Consulta el mapa de estacionamiento aquí para saber dónde estacionar cuando llegues el sábado. Hay obras en algunas zonas de la antigua base, así que puede que se vea diferente al año pasado. ¡Pero no te preocupes! ¡Es una multitud que no te puedes perder!
